Fast setup

Setup takes under 5 minutes. Just download and install the plugin.

Free

The plugin is completely free — no subscriptions or hidden charges. Always available to download.

Global access

Players can connect from anywhere in the world with no limits.

Manual setup

Six steps from an empty folder to a server your friends can reach. The whole knowledge base is available separately.

  1. 1

    Download a server

Download a local server for your version with plugin support — for example, Paper.

  2. 2

    Download the ProximaTunnel plugin

Grab the current plugin version from the download page.

  3. 3

    Install it on the server

Put the .jar file into the plugins folder of your Minecraft server.

  4. 4

    Configure it

In server.properties set online-mode=false, and in motd set any server name.

  5. 5

    Run the server

Create start.bat (Windows) or start.sh (Linux/Mac) with the launch command and run the server — the tunnel activates automatically.

  6. 6

    Connecting to the server

Go to proximamp.com, in the “local servers” section click your server — and play.

All of this — in ProximaClient

ProximaTunnel is already built into ProximaClient: it turns on with a single checkbox — no manual plugin install, commands or config edits. The core and Java install themselves, and a server with friends comes up in a couple of clicks.
